Chopra Foundation Partnership
On Veterans Day 2020, we launched our partnership with The Chopra Foundation. Together, we will ensure that one million veterans get access to proven mind-body tools and support so they can experience enhanced resilience, purpose, and well-being for themselves and their families.
As part of this partnership, we launched the HERO (Health and Emotional Resilience Operator) mental chatbot on our website. With HERO, you can access confidential tips and programs for greater resiliency and well-being via Facebook Messenger or text. Over time, HERO will be expanded to provide more programming and support to our veteran community. (Note that when you access HERO via Facebook Messenger from our website, the chat will move to the Messenger app on mobile or to the Facebook tab on desktop, so you won’t see the responses in the chat on our website. You must go to the app or Facebook site to engage with HERO.)
“The Chopra Foundation is proud to join forces with Veteran’s PATH to help combat the challenge of veteran suicide in our society,” says Poonacha Machaiah, CEO of The Chopra Foundation.
“This is not an issue that should stay in the barracks or VA hospitals, this problem affects us all as Americans and human beings,” says Dr. Deepak Chopra, founder of the Chopra Foundation. “It is imperative that we take a stand to help our veterans, not just with mental health, but to assist them in achieving true happiness in their civilian lives.”
By making mental health and support tools more accessible to veterans, The Chopra Foundation and Veteran’s PATH hope to make veteran suicide an issue of the past
